In and Around

Norwich's iconic cathedral

Norwich’s iconic medieval cathedral

We are on the A11, convenient for the University of East Anglia, John Innes, Food Research Institute, Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, Norwich Union, the Sainsbury Centre, Lotus Cars and the Theatre Royal.

Historic Norwich city centre, with the Cathedral, Castle and Elm Hill, is a 20-minute stroll, or a 5-minute drive, as is the new Chapelfield shopping centre with its many shops and eateries, adjacent to Norwich’s new bus station.

Alternatively, there is a bus stop right outside our gate.

Within walking distance there is a beauty and aromatherapy centre, a swimming pool (sessions by arrangement), a park, pubs, eateries, local shops and a Waitrose supermarket.

For the sport-minded there are tennis courts at the park and a beautiful golf course nearby at Dunston Hall. There is also a big choice of other sporting and exercise facilities at the Sports Park at the University of East Anglia. It is East Anglia’s biggest swimming and sports centre and is only a bus ride, or a few minutes drive away.

All rooms have information packs containing details of restaurants and local places of interest. A “travelling” hairdresser can be booked to visit by prior arrangement.
